Control Freaks, a new vendor and prominent community member within the Onewheel scene, is dedicated to providing innovative products for Onewheel trail riders and racing enthusiasts. Riley, the visionary behind Control Freaks, approached us with a specific concept for their brand logo.

The Challenge:

Riley had a clear vision for the logo: a marionette silhouette of a Onewheel rider, attached to the Onewheel by footholds. This unique concept aimed to symbolize the precision and control that Onewheel foot holds aspire to achieve. The challenge was to bring Riley’s vision to life while adding elements that would enhance the design and keep the design simple enough to know what it is.

The Solution:

To create a logo that met and exceeded Riley’s expectations, we focused on a minimalistic design and thoughtful enhancements that would capture the essence of Control Freaks’ brand identity.

We began by sketching various iterations of the marionette silhouette, ensuring the rider was attached to the Onewheel by footholds, as specified by Riley. We incorporated additional elements to enhance the design, such as a helmet for safety and an aggressive racing stance to convey dynamism and control.

The Result:

The finished product was a dynamic and visually compelling logo that perfectly captured Riley’s vision and of Control Freaks. The logo’s aggressive racing stance and marionette concept effectively communicated the brand’s focus on precision and control.
